Assistant Project Manager:
Project manager responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and managing construction inspection employees. Provides construction, safety, and information technology training to employees in the Pennsylvania Construction Services Group. Manages construction projects and is responsible for record keeping and file management. Assign inspectors to construction projects. Oversees that employees receive and renew required certifications. Develops websites for employees with all pertinent project and career information for easy accessibility. Responsible for reviewing and approving employee hours and expenses. Reviews prebill documents and collects client signatures. Assist managers in all other duties that are required.
Radiation Safety Officer:
Responsible for reviewing and maintaining all records related to the possession of company possessed radioactive material in multiple states. Served as acting Corporate RSO until one was appointed. Developed a radiation safety program with other RSOs, Corporate Safety, and legal. Reviews radiation exposure reports for employees using nuclear gauges. Provides revisions to Standard Operating Procedure 19. Restructured the Radiation Protection Program to directly involve Construction Services Management, Corporate Safety, and Legal. Completes applications for new radioactive material licenses and renewals of radioactive material licenses. Conducts self-audits of the RPP and served as the point-of-contact for licensing agency audits. Drafts responses to Notice of Violations from licensing agencies for Legal’s review. Creates and provides training material for employees using nuclear gauges.
Construction Inspector:
Construction Inspector assigned tasks that involve construction observation and record keeping, job progress meetings and recording, inspection of the various phases of construction, and subcontractor activity coordination with owners of parking garage facilities. Specific duties also include general administrative construction management and project management involving file maintenance, preparation and proofreading of documents, information and data processing, and general safety of staff. Computer experience includes Bluebeam, Kubla, Adobe Acrobat, Windows (3.1, 95, 98, 2000, NT, ME, XP, Windows 7, Server 2000, Server 2003); Macintosh (MFS, OS 3-7, OS X); Linux (Mandriva, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Fedora, Puppy, Knoppix, DSL); Web design (Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, XML, PhP, JavaScript, SQL, RSS feeds, content management systems); graphics and video (Photoshop, Scala, Compix, NewTek VT, CG Inscriber, Race FX); Lotus Notes; and Microsoft Office.
Cost Estimator for development of preliminary and final construction cost estimates for various highway and bridge projects. Integrates the cost estimate with the project schedule to make sure that the estimate accurately reflects the cost of construction. Estimates account for project location, accessibility, available work and staging areas, work-hour restrictions, maintenance of rail and/or vehicular operations, phasing requirements, local wage rates, mobilization costs, perceived liability, similar construction volume in the area, and subcontracted work.
